The Symbiosis School of Media & Communication, Bengaluru, (SSMC-B) founded in 2009 has recorded a niche in the field of Media Education and Communication with its 2 year full-time MBA program in Communication Management, with a modern industry-focused curriculum . IMC and Media Analytics.

Our research-oriented unit equips our media professionals with media communication tools and techniques, including digital strategies for competing as professionals in today's evolving media world. The program is designed to keep students at the forefront of modern media and management processes through new pedagogy that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application. With knowledgeable experience of practical workshops, real challenges, and real-time industry projects that work with industry professionals as mentors, our students develop skills that are ready to succeed in this competitive field, making them highly employable.

The education program includes, presented with a pedagogy that includes group discussions, case studies, learning experiences, seminars, workshops, industry projects and internships that promote industry-education communication, community engagement projects that raise future communications professionals on social issues and needs. . Equal emphasis is placed on curriculum-related activities organized by specialized learning clubs. Modern infrastructure meets student needs and flexibility, inviting SSMC-B with all the facilities of a state-of-the-art facility. SSMC-B aims to serve the diverse needs of the media and communications industry in particular, and the general public, through education, training and research. It seeks to train students to become competent, responsible and innovative professionals in the media industry, through a framework that provides students with academic resilience combined with industry ideas.

The SSMC-B's MBA (CM) program has a good reputation as it is designed to elevate the level of learning, incorporating the best practices and styles in the field, enabling students to build on their existing knowledge in the spirit of questioning, ingenuity and innovation. The program is divided into two semesters.

First semester: In the first semester students are introduced to general media and management courses and presentations in specialized areas such as marketing, PR-compliant PR and basic courses in Media Analytics.

Semester II: In the second semester students are introduced to key modules that explore the important aspects of business management and learn in-depth media stories. Various modules such as Digital Media Management, Branding and Media courses offered explore the most recent developments in this dynamic field, followed by in-depth training to work in fields that apply theoretical knowledge learned in the past semester.

Semester III: The third semester allows students to choose from one of the two IMC and Media Analytics experts. Through a strong academic and integrated teaching-learning process, students gain knowledge and skills and are equipped to plan, design, evaluate and produce marketing communication projects integrated with new media technologies.

Semester IV: The fourth semester incorporates advanced courses in two areas of expertise such as advanced strategic management, data analysis, models and accounting processes and ethics and law, to better understand society, culture and law. ethics as a holistic professional entering the media and communications industry.

Student guidance

The educational session begins with guidance as students are exposed to a series of lectures by professionals that give them an overview of the media industry, with the exception of interactive team-building games and exercises. The education program is highly integrated with interactive teaching that includes group discussions, event courses, seminars, workshops, guest talks, industry projects and internships that promote industry-academia communication, community engagement projects that raise future communications professionals in social issues and needs. Ongoing assessment of teaching and learning is done with assignments that help students to develop themselves to a higher level and at the same time be updated with the latest in the field of media. Included is an ongoing evaluation process for compulsory internships in the industry that trains our media professionals for final placement. Media Analytic

Media Analytics as a specialization focuses on equipping students on optimizing various mass communication channels and technologies, marketing strategies, media economic understanding, and the knowledge of different software tools utilized in media productions and Analytics. The specialization focuses on wide arena of subjects like different types of media, communication and competitive strategies, marketing models, corporate responsibility, programmatic media management, digital marketing and Social Media Analytics. Students get to learn industry relevant software like BARC, IRS to name a few. We aim to broaden horizons of our students with proper blend of conceptual knowledge and practical insights from industry speakers. During two years of MBA program students are exposed to live projects and industry internships to give them a platform of applying theoretical concepts in practical scenarios and equipped with experiential learning.

As a specialization, it focuses on a varied arena of subjects such as Retail Communication, Campaign Planning, Digital Communication Solutions, Communication Design and Social Media Analytics. Admission Process

Step 1

Exercise Group Examination, Personal Interaction and Writing Skills Test will be conducted on shortlisted candidates by SSMC-B.

Step 2

⦁    Only those people who have registered and paid for ‘SNAP 2019’ will be eligible to apply for the MBA (CM) program.

⦁    Complete the SSMC-B MBA (CM) Online Application Form and pay the registration fee of Rs.1000 / -

Step 3

Eligibility

SNAP QUALIFICATIONS 2020:

⦁    University or National Valuation Center with 50% marks or equal distance (45% marks or equivalent rank for Organized Casts / Organized Nations).

⦁    Students who enroll in final year examinations may also apply, but admission will depend on obtaining a 50% mark or equal grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Planned Casts / Organized Nations). Note: The acceptance of that candidate will be temporary and will be canceled in the event that the above conditions are not met.

⦁    Programs that require specific discipline / subject expertise need to be assessed for suitability as provided by the appropriate Institution.

⦁    A candidate who has completed a relevant degree at any Foreign University must obtain a certificate of equality from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). All foreign degrees / qualifications require certification from the AIU by a candidate before seeking admission to any SIU program.

⦁    The bottom line: It is the baptismal candidate 's responsibility to determine if he or she has the necessary qualifications. Temporary admission does not mean accepting eligibility. Final eligibility for admission will be determined by Symbiosis International (Deemed University).

Person applying under any reserved category (Organized races / Organized Nations / Separate abled / Kashmiri immigrants are requested to submit the relevant documents issued by the competent authority. Any participation in any stage of that person's admission process is temporary as well always title verification and confirmation of that important document.

In the event that a candidate falls under more than one of the above categories (e.g., Scheduled and For Differently Able or any other combination), you will need to select any single Category (i.e. or Default Caste OR Differently aled in the case of the above example) during the completion of the SNAP Test registration form. The category selected by the candidate at the time of completing the registration form will be who is considered as part of the whole process of adoption and his benefits and rights will be according to such a designated category. They will not be able to claim interest under any of the other categories any stage of admission to any account.
