Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, Faridkot

founded in 1973, is one of the greatest medical schools in the country. GGS Clinic School is located in Punjab's region of Faridkot. During his time as Prime Minister of Punjab, Mr. Giani Zail Singh (1982–1987) was essential in bringing the institution to the notice of the pupils. This GGS clinic school creates 100 experts each year to assist the disadvantaged who require medical care. The Master Gobind Singh Clinic and its accompanying medical clinic are two community-approved medical facilities that offer medical services to Punjabis. The clinic school began offering health and associated scientific courses to students in 2013, with the majority of them in need of medical attention. The Medical Council of India has authorized Guru Gobind Singh Medical College, which is associated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences in Faridkot (MCI).

Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as physics and chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). Qualifying for the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination is also required of students (NEET) .

Admission Eligibility:

In the Faridkot district, Guru Gobind Singh medical college and hospital is located on a 140-acre unitary complex. The GGSMCH Faridkot campus is comprised of academic buildings totaling 41,990 square metres, as well as dormitories and residential complexes totaling 23,817 square metres for both boys and girls. The college library, auditorium, examination rooms, lecture halls, mess & canteens, and other amenities are all located on the GGSMC campus. The GGSMCH Faridkot linked hospital buildings cover a total area of 69,260 square metres and include all contemporary pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical departments. The GGSMCH Faridkot college campus has amenities such as a 250-square-meter examination hall with 250 seats, as well as a fully equipped, centrally air-conditioned theatre with 750 seats. The hospital facility contains 6 lecture halls with a total seating capacity of 910 people, all of which are equipped with modern amenities such as CCTV, audio-visual aids, and computers with internet access. Separate common rooms with a total space of 100 square metres are provided for both boys and girls.

Library:

The Guru Gobind Singh Medical College contains a 4,480-square-meter air-conditioned library. The GGSMC library has a total of 19,026 volumes, as well as 68 Indian and 42 international publications. It has four different reading rooms with a seating capacity of 250 people for both employees and students. The GGSMCH Faridkot library has 30 computers for students to use. The library is open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on all college working days.

Hostel:

The Guru Gobind Singh medical college hostels are located on the campus of the college. Single and double rooms are provided in the hostel on a shared basis, with two or three people sharing each room. Boys have 208 rooms to choose from, while females have 184 rooms to choose from. The GGSMC hostel can house between 400 and 500 students. These hostel rooms are equipped with closets, comfy single and double beds, and bathrooms with toilets.

There are also other amenities at the hostels, such as R.O pure drinking water and two-wheeler parking. Separate visiting rooms, leisure rooms with televisions, and indoor and outdoor game facilities are all available at the hostel. Both the boys' and girls' hostels have a mess/canteen with a dining hall. A separate study area with computers and internet access is available at the GGSMCH Faridkot dormitory. Male and female wardens patrol both hostels separately.

Sports:

Guru Gobind Singh Medical College provides a variety of sporting activities for the physical well-being of its students. Indoor and outdoor games such as volleyball, badminton, cricket, football, basketball, tennis & table tennis, chess, carrom, and a huge playground with gymnasium facilities are available. This college has amenities to help students improve their physical activity.

The state government of Punjab controls the Guru Gobind Singh medical college, which is associated with the Guru Gobind Singh government hospital in Faridkot district. In 2009, the Guru Gobind Singh medical college and hospital began providing critical care to patients. It also provides medical services to the public through its health centres. Health Care Services: - Medical services range from simple cold, virus, and minor injury treatment at less complete institutions to comprehensive lab tests, X-rays, specialists, and pharmacies at the most comprehensive centers. Counseling services are available in many campus health Programmes.

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
