Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as physics and chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, is home to Great Eastern Medical School. This Medical College is situated on 25 acres of beautiful green, environmentally favorable land. Buildings were constructed over an area of more than 70,000 square metres, with classrooms, various departments, a library, and labs put in windy regions. The medical college building is located on an area of more than 16,000 square metres. The hostel and residential rooms, as well as the hospital buildings, cover 55,000 square metres. There are two Test Halls, each with a seating capacity of more than 250 pupils, spread across an area of 1150 square metres. There are four study halls in the medical college. In the 325-student Hospital, there is one teaching theatre. These theatres are gallery-style, with all of the required audio and video equipment. Boys and girls can choose from a variety of general rooms. Each of these typical rooms houses 150 pupils. These ordinary rooms provide access to the restroom and other amenities. 

Library:

The Great Eastern Medical College Library occupies a 2,400-square-meter space that is entirely air-conditioned. From 8.30 a.m. until 10 p.m., this library is open. This facility contains separate indoor and outdoor classrooms that can accommodate up to 150 pupils at any given time. There are PG student reading rooms accessible. There is a separate stack room and a staff room. There are 11,016 textbooks in the library, as well as 82 Indian and 46 international publications. Hostel:

The hostel for males has 174 rooms and can accommodate 348 students. With 152 rooms and 302 beds, the girls' hostel is a great place to stay. There is a separate Practical Student Hostel with 78 rooms, as well as 36 rooms and 108 living quarters for the nurses. Separate PG Hostel with 57 rooms is provided. A hygienic canteen with a pleasant eating system is available at these hostels. Teaching and non-teaching employees can both stay in the same place. A well-maintained and well-ventilated classroom with computers and internet access is available in all hostels. TV, music, and indoor grooming are also accessible in the lounge. 

Sports:

Hospital Facilities:

The Great Eastern Medical College General Hospital is a 35,300-square-meter facility featuring an OPD block. Approximately 1700 outpatients are treated here. The Medical College Hospital has 542 beds available, with inpatients using 85 percent of them. At a high subsidized price, GEMS Hospital delivers state-of-the-art amenities including the ICU, five completely equipped operating rooms, and experts from all institutions throughout the day.

Beds Facility:

These hospital beds are organized into medical departments based on their needs. General Medicine and General Surgery have 150 beds per person, whereas TB and Respiratory Medicine, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, and ENT have 30 beds each. In all, there are 90 beds in Pediatric Diseases, Orthopedics, and Obstetrics & Gynecology. More than 1000 daily tests and sections of Microbiology, Hematology, and Biochemistry are available at these Hospital Laboratories, which are part of the Department of Pathology. The hospital has 11 operating theatres, with an additional 6 minor operating theatres accessible. The critical care unit is equipped with everything you need. The ICCU has eight beds, the ICU has ten, the SICU has thirteen, and the NICU and PICU have sixteen.

Counselling Service: - The 'Counselling Service' is for persons who are experiencing emotional or behavioural issues. or addiction, or certain health concerns such as HIV/AIDS, but the fact is that people of all types seek Counselling, and this does not imply that they are "crazy" or "weak."

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Report: - A student must offer a narrative of an event or report facts from a book, article, or other source in a college report. While some research may be required when writing a report, it is mostly a document that asks you to understand rather than obtain the data on which you report.
