The Great Eastern Medical College General Hospital is a 35,300-square-meter facility featuring an OPD block. Approximately 1700 outpatients are treated here. The Medical College Hospital has 542 beds available, with inpatients using 85 percent of them. At a high subsidized price, GEMS Hospital delivers state-of-the-art amenities including the ICU, five completely equipped operating rooms, and experts from all institutions throughout the day.
These hospital beds are organized into medical departments based on their needs. General Medicine and General Surgery have 150 beds per person, whereas TB and Respiratory Medicine, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, and ENT have 30 beds each. In all, there are 90 beds in Pediatric Diseases, Orthopedics, and Obstetrics & Gynecology. More than 1000 daily tests and sections of Microbiology, Hematology, and Biochemistry are available at these Hospital Laboratories, which are part of the Department of Pathology. The hospital has 11 operating theatres, with an additional 6 minor operating theatres accessible. The critical care unit is equipped with everything you need.
