Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as Physics and Chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). It is also mandatory for students to take the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) .

Palakkad, Kerala's picturesque city, is home to this medical college. The institute's campus and hospital are spread out over several acres and are surrounded by lush nature. GMC Palakkad's Central Library is 336 square metres in size. A 50-seat student classroom is available. For students, the library provides a variety of stacks and reading spaces. The library is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Palakkad Medical College Library offers a wide range of services. 4305 Indian and foreign journals, books, and magazines are available at the library. It also contains a number of e-journals and IP-based Internet subscribers. The GMC library has 42 computers available. The college also has a hostel on campus that provides adequate care for students and feels like a home away from home. General Medicine, library, sports complex, labs, Auditorium, and many other facilities are available on campus to meet the needs and requirements of students.

About Hospital

The District Hospital, Palakkad, Kerala has 544 beds. It has 6 Major Operations 2-dimensional theaters 2 Major Operations and 2 Minor Operations theaters that perform 8 sub-tasks on a daily basis. Of these, 2 Major Operation theaters were assigned to the department of General Surgery, ENT, Ortho, Ophthalmology and the department of Urosurgery super specialty. The hospital admits 1118 patients daily according to a test report. The hospital has a fully recorded Medical Record section in person.

Ten beds are used for pre-anesthetic / pre-operative situations, while seven beds are used for recovery. In the intensive care unit, there are 21 beds available.

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Report: - A student must offer a narrative of an event or report facts from a book, article, or other source in a college report. While some research may be required when writing a report, it is mostly a document that asks you to understand rather than obtain the data on which you report.

Palakkad Government Medical College is located in the state of Kerala's city of Palakkad. The town is situated on the Salem-Kanyakumari National Highway NH-47, approximately 350 kilometres (217 miles) north of Kerala's capital, Thiruvananthapuram. The NH47 and NH 213 pass through Palakkad, and the medical college is approximately 7 kilometres from Salem on the Salem-Kochi Highway, and frequent transportation is available to travel to the campus in 15 minutes. Palakkad has a railway station that is one of the largest in the province because it connects all of Kerala's major cities to the rest of the state. It takes 30 minutes to walk from the college, which is 9.5 kilometres away. The nearest airport to this college is Coimbatore International Airport in Tamilnadu, India, which is 62 kilometres distant and could take up to an hour to go by car. The campus is 110 kilometres and two hours away from another Cochin International Airport.
