Byramjee Jeejeebhay Medical College, Pune

was founded in 1964 and is a prominent government college. With Shri. B. G. Kher, the president of the Bombay government, B. J. Medical College was established to replace the previous B. J. Medical School. This was the realization of Psi Byramjee Jeejeebhay's ideal of a forward-thinking philanthropy in Poona for the training of physicians and the provision of medical facilities comparable to those in Bombay.
