There is plenty of room for all types of future development, and there is a lot of potential for this college to become a Center for Beauty in numerous disciplines of modern medicine. Medical College features cutting-edge infrastructure, as well as cutting-edge medical services, teaching aids, and several sophisticated R&D facilities.

Faculty and staff:

T.D. Medical College has well-qualified and experienced teaching support in 39 different departments around 500 staff such as Professor, Assistant / Associate Professor, Sr./Jr. Citizen & Educators.
The Hospital of this college was used for student training in clinics. The hospital was upgraded with the construction of additional buildings to provide adequate beds to meet the teaching needs of the college. Next, in January 1973 the entire district hospital was dedicated to the Principal, T.D. Medical College as this was required for accreditation of the College by the Medical Council of India.

The District Hospital has therefore become a Medical College Hospital under the direction of the Principal, T.D. Medical College, Alappuzha, and is used for clinical training of students and surgeons. The hospital has 1050 sleep capacity.

The day-to-day operations of the Hospital are overseen by the Hospital Development Committee. In excess of the cost of revenue is met by the Government of Kerala in terms of budget under Program and Non-Program headings. This is necessary on the grounds that this hospital is the Government's responsibility to meet public obligations only. Therefore, the actual number of hospital and outpatient patients is beyond their capacity to accommodate.
