Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as Physics and Chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). It is also mandatory for students to take the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) .

Admission Eligibility:

A student seeking admission to a post-graduate programme must have earned an MBBS from a recognised university. Then, as per Section 10 (D) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single admission test to various MD/MS Courses.

For UG female students, CRRI, and graduates, the university features six hostels spread over three campuses. Similarly, there are three male student hostels, each of which is guarded by a guardian. There are 676 rooms for undergraduates, 93 rooms for postgraduates, and 106 rooms for apprentices. The living rooms feature a bed, cupboard, table, and chair, as well as an adjacent toilet / bath. Hostel students have access to a separate buffet mess with a clean and fully working kitchen, as well as a constant supply of water and a reverse osmosis water filter, 24-hour power with a backup generator, a separate television watching hall, and a well-equipped study area with periodicals. About Hospital:

The campus's hospital covers 34,000 square metres. On average, almost 1100 outpatient patients attend here each day, with 530 inpatient beds. Intensive care units, surgery, obstetrics, gynaecology, and paediatrics are all situated in the outpatient facility. A laboratory service is also accessible at the Central Oxygen Care Center. In 2011, the cardiovascular section was established. It was first presented as a non-profit sector with resources like OPD Consulting, ECG, ECHO and TMT. Management has chosen to make it easy for the department to intervene as the department attracts more patients around Kanyakumari.

There are 120 beds for each medical treatment and general surgery. There are more than 60 beds for each pediatrician, orthopedic surgeon, obstetrician and gynecologist. Tuberculosis and respiratory and psychiatric disorders have 20 beds. ENT, Dermatology and Ophthalmology have 30 beds each. The hospital's central medical laboratory is managed by the Department of Health and has various departments such as the Department of Microbiology, Hematology and Biochemistry. The hospital has 12 operating theaters, 10 major and 2 Small Operations. Kidney Transplant Services was launched in 2017.

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Sree Mookambika Institute of Medical Sciences is located in Kulasekharam, Kanyakumari District, 774 kilometres from Chennai, Tamil Nadu's capital, and 70 kilometres from Trivandrum, Kerala's capital (Kerala capital). Kanyakumari is the southernmost point of India's subcontinent, often known as Cape Comorin. The nearest town of the college is Nagercoil and it has a good connection with the road network with all the cities in the states, and the college from this town is about 30 kms with a 45 minute drive. Kanyakumari is directly connected by train to almost all metropolitan cities in India and from colleges within 50 Kms of 1: 30 hours. The other Nagercoil Railway junction is 30 kms away which can be reached within 45 minutes. The nearest airport is Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, 56 km from the college and is connected to all major Domestic and International cities and takes 1: 30 hours.
