The "SUBBAIAH MEDICAL COLLEGE" is the name and style of the Subbaiah Institute of Medical Science, which was founded in 2012. Tadikela Subbaiah Trust (R), Shimoga, Karnataka, India, runs this institution. Sri. T. Subbaramaiah, an agronomic and visionary, founded the Trust in 2003 with the goal of bringing education and research to regions where they will be seamless in their sweeping and wandering. Sri Subbaramaiah, as the leader of his family, felt that even the longest journey begins with the first step.  What, then, could be more secure than the start in a man's family? Thus began the saga of the Tadikela Subbaiah Trust, established under the Indian Trust Act, 1882 as a public, educational trust, and Sri. T. Subbaramaiah, as Secretary, Founder-Minister and Chairman of the Board. . This medical college is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka and is approved by the National Medical Committee (NMC).

Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as Physics and Chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). It is also mandatory for students to take the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) .

A student seeking admission to a post-graduate programme must have earned an MBBS from a recognised university. Then, as per Section 10 (D) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single admission test to various MD/MS Courses.

Shivamogga, the picturesque city of Karnataka, is home to the Subbaiah Institute of Medical Science. The College is associated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science (RGUHS) in Bangalore and the Government of India, and provides undergraduate degrees in Medicine, Nursing, and Dentistry. "SUBBAIAH MEDICAL COLLEGE" replaces the Subbaiah Institute of Medical Sciences. The College is built on a few structures that encompass an area of 12,00,000 sq.ft. and is spread over 32 hectares of vegetation. The campus has all of the required facilities, such as sophisticated labs and clinical departments. The institution also has a dormitory on campus that provides enough care for students and feels like a home away from home. General Medicine, library, sports complex, labs, Auditorium, and many more facilities are available on campus to meet the needs and requirements of students.

About Hospital:

According to the Medical Council of India (MCI) / NMC, the campus hospital has a capacity of 1100 beds and other aided medical services. In addition, the Facility features a well-equipped centre for hi-tech research and learning, which supports postgraduate education programmes in engineering. Subbaiah Hospital is fully operating, with all of the latest technology and services. Students get several opportunities to meet with patients and obtain basic medical knowledge. The hospital's many departments, wards, and Trauma and Emergency Services are all open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 16 Operation Theaters were reached out to by well-trained Medical Officers aided by a small group of doctors. With state-of-the-art MRI, Spiral CT Scanner, Mammography machine, High-Resolution Color Doppler, state-of-the-art Ultrasound machine, and state-of-the-art X-ray equipment, the hospital is one of Karnataka's premier Radiology institutes (800mA , 500mA, 300mA, 100mA, dental ix-ray, cellular x-ray). Counselling Service: - The 'Counseling Service' is for persons who are experiencing emotional or behavioural issues. or addiction, or certain health concerns such as HIV/AIDS, but the fact is that people of all types seek Counselling, and this does not imply that they are "crazy" or "weak."

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Report: - A student must offer a narrative of an event or report facts from a book, article, or other source in a college report. While some research may be required when writing a report, it is mostly a document that asks you to understand rather than obtain the data on which you report.

How to reach us:

Subbaiah Institute of Medical Sciences is in Shimoga, Karnataka Province, some 305 kilometres northwest of Bengaluru, the state capital. Through road and train networks, the city is well connected to Karnataka and India. The distance between the Shivamogga Bus Terminal and the medical college is 6.4 kilometres, which can be covered in 15 minutes via Shimoga and Chitradurga Road. We can access NH369 in 10 minutes from the Shivamogga Railway Station, which is 3.7 kilometres from the college. Shimoga has a domestic airport 15 kilometres distant that takes 30 minutes to get to. Mangalore International Airport is the closest international airport to Medical College, located 200 kilometres distant and four hours away by car.
