SRM Medical College, Chennai

is a private medical school that was founded in 2005. The institution aspires to provide a variety of opportunities for its students to climb stairs and transform the world into a healthier place by providing sophisticated medical procedures, making preventive, curative, and rehabilitative medical care available to everyone at a low cost, and teaching clinical skills to medical and health science graduates and post graduates while conducting focused clinical research for 'Bench to Bedside' application. The National Medical Committee has recognised the college, which is associated with SRM University in Chennai (NMC).

Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as Physics and Chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). It is also mandatory for students to take the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) .

The institution's hospital, which is located on a 32-acre SRM IST campus, has 1590 beds and provides tertiary care as well as emergency and trauma treatment 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This medical college has 960 beds and covers an area of 91,000 square metres. Around 1,700 outpatients come here every day, and 80 percent of the beds are occupied by hospitalised patients. Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
