Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as Physics and Chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). It is also mandatory for students to take the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) .

Admission Eligibility:

A student seeking admission to a post-graduate programme must have earned an MBBS from a recognised university. Then, as per Section 10 (D) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single admission test to various MD/MS Courses.

About Hospital:

Late His Holiness Shri Kumaraswamiji of Hanagal convened the first Veerashaiva Mahasabhe, which led to the formation of the Veerashaiva Vidya Vardhaka Sangha in Karnataka, and the campus's Hospital is named after him. When Shri S. Nijalingappa was the Chief Minister of Karnataka, he provided 250 acres of land on lease for a term of 30 years, which was afterwards regularised and granted by Late Shri J. H. Patel when he was the Chief Minister. The late Dr. S. J. Nagalotimath, a worldwide B.C. Roy awardee, was selected as the first medical director and charged with designing and building the medical college. The college and hospital announce the message of excellent health care and health services. “PROFESSIONAL HEALTH CARE TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY” at affordable cost which is its motto. The hospital is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology such as CT scan, MRI, color doppler, TMT, dialysis, Echocardiography, Lithotripsy, Endoscopy, Ultrasonography, Laparoscopy, Lasers, Fundal camera, EEG, NICU equipment, EMG, audiometry, 14 hitech. Large OTs have 146 Main Care beds.

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Report: - A student must offer a narrative of an event or report facts from a book, article, or other source in a college report. While some research may be required when writing a report, it is mostly a document that asks you to understand rather than obtain the data on which you report.

S.Nijalingappa Medical College is located in Bagalkot, Karnataka, 482 kilometres northwest of Bengaluru, the state capital. It is situated on a tributary of the Ghataprabha River, 481 kilometres northwest of Bangalore, the regional capital.

By road and train, Bagalkot is well connected to Karnataka and India. Bagalkot's major bus terminal is around 2 kilometres from SN Medical Campus, and there is an hour-long service to go to the college. Bagalkot Railway Junction is one of Karnataka's major railway stations, located around 15 minutes and 3.5 miles from the campus. The closest airport to the college is Hubli International Airport, which is 128 kilometres away and is well connected to other major Indian cities. The travel takes two hours.
