is a well-known government medical college that was founded in 2008. Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy, the late Chief Minister, was also there. The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences was previously known as this. The Institute provides O7 postgraduate courses in collaboration with Drs. NTR University of Health Sciences, which offers 100 MBBS sites yearly and will increase to 150 in 2019.

Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as physics and chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). Qualifying for the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination is also required of students (NEET) .

Infrastructure:

This Government Medical College campus has 17,511 square metres in size. The College buildings cover an area of 11,620 square metres. The hostel and residential buildings cover 14,600 square metres. The total area of the hospital buildings, including the OPD block, is 48,800 square metres. There are two examination halls in this college facility, each with a seating capacity of 125 pupils. There are five lecture halls at this medical school.

Lecture Hall:

The institution has four halls, each having a seating capacity of 120 people. One lecture hall with 150 seats and full amenities is placed in the hospital. These are gallery-style built-ins with audio and video capabilities. Students can use the common rooms, which include a toilet.

Library:

The Central Library at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences is 1650 square metres in size. There are separate reading rooms, a stack room, and it is completely air-conditioned. There are two reading rooms, one inside and one outside, each with space for 75 pupils. There are 7212 books and 82 periodicals in this library, including 72 Indian and 10 international journals. About Hospital:

The General Government Hospital is the college Teaching Hospital of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences. This hospital has 532 beds and is spread on 48,800 square metres, with 13 blocks, including the OPT block. More than 700 outpatients attend on a daily basis, with inpatients occupying 80 percent of the beds. These beds are separated into sections for the several medical departments.

Bed Distribution:

Each department of general medicine and surgery has 120 beds. Pediatrics has 60 beds, Orthopaedics has 64 beds, OB/GYN has 93 beds, and TB and respiratory medicine has 30 beds. This hospital's major clinical laboratory is managed by the Pathology department; however additional sections such as Microbiology, Hematology, and Biochemistry are also accessible. This hospital contains ten operating rooms, eight of which are major and two minor.

Operation Theatres:

The General Surgery, Orthopedics, and Obstetrics and Gynecology departments are each separated into two theatres. Each department has one theatre: ENT, Ophthalmology, Emergency, and Septic. Intensive care units, such as the ICCU with 7 beds, the ICU with 16 beds, the SICU with 8 beds, and the NICU/PICU with 8 beds are all available. These units are fully air-conditioned and equipped with a central oxygen supply, monitor, ventilator, and pulse Oximeters.

Student Support:

Anti- Ragging: - Any disorderly behaviour, whether via words said or written, or by an act, that has the effect of taunting, treating, or dealing a fresher or junior student with rudeness.

Health Care Services: - Medical services range from simple cold, virus, and minor injury treatment at less complete institutions to comprehensive lab tests, X-rays, specialists, and pharmacies at the most comprehensive centers. Counseling services are available in many campus health Programmes.

Counselling Service: - The 'Counselling Service' is for persons who are experiencing emotional or behavioural issues. Or addiction, or certain health concerns such as HIV/AIDS, but the fact is that people of all types seek Counselling, and this does not imply that they are "crazy" or "weak."

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Report: - A student must offer a narrative of an event or report facts from a book, article, or other source in a college report. While some research may be required when writing a report, it is mostly a document that asks you to understand rather than obtain the data on which you report.

How to reach us:

The RIMS Medical College is located in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh. A Buddhist historic site and several distinctive characteristics may be found in the city.
