Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Kadapa

is one of the best government institutes in the country. It was founded in 2006 by the state of Andhra Pradesh with the goal of improving quality medical care in this underserved area and receiving clinical instruction from all trained students in the area. RIMS Kadapa was carried out during a 14-month period at 210 locations throughout the world, with a focus on high-quality development and quick completion. Rims General Hospital, a local clinic, had previously been the emergency clinic of choice. It was eventually changed into the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, a higher education emergency medical facility. The emergency clinic stayed in the same site during the current stages of RIMS planning before being shifted to its new location. From its origin to the present, it has gone through a constant cycle of constructive activities. The Medical Council of India has authorized Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, which is associated with NTR University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada (MCI).

Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as physics and chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). Qualifying for the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination is also required of students (NEET) .

Admission Eligibility:

If you want to get an MBBS, you must take the National Qualification and Entry Examination (NEET) administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) after you finish grade 12. Infrastructure:

The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences Medical College campus spans 210 acres and is surrounded by stunning scenery. On a total of 182.25 acres, the college, hostel, and residential blocks, as well as hospital structures, have been constructed. The Medical College building measures 26,092 square metres, while the Hospital and Hostel blocks are located in the remaining regions. The college examination hall at RIMS is 931.16 square metres in size, with seating capacity for 500 students.

Lecture Hall:

This Government Medical College has five lecture halls in total. In the College building, there are four lecture halls, each with a capacity of 240 students. In the Hospital building, one lecture hall with a seating capacity of 400 pupils is offered. These lecture halls are gallery-style buildings with audio and video capabilities.

Library:

The Central Library of this Medical College is a 2500 square metre structure featuring reading rooms and stock rooms. The library is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the reading room is open 24 hours a day. In both Inside and outside, there are two reading rooms. The inside reading room can accommodate 200 pupils, while the outside reading room can accommodate 60. There are a total of 12,698 medical textbooks in this library. There are 45 periodicals accessible here, 40 of which are Indian and 5 of which are foreign. There are 15 computers in the E-library area, as well as other amenities.

Hostel:

On the college site, the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences has a hostel and residential complex with a total area of 10,261 square metres. For both boys and females, separate hostel facilities are offered. 334 students are accommodated at the boy’s hostel. Female students can also stay at the girls hostel, which has 334 beds. These hostels have access to the necessary water and restrooms. This Hostel mess offers nice dining areas as well as sanitary meals.

About Hospital:

The teaching hospital of this Medical College is the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Science Government Hospital in Kadapa. This Government Hospital is 59,553 square metres in size, including the OPT block. There are 715 beds at this hospital. There is a separate registration area for men and women, as well as waiting places for the OPT block. With specific care facilities and the most up-to-date treatment facilities, this hospital has improved. The number of patients in attendance has surpassed 1300. Because to the changes, bed occupancy has increased from 75% to 80%.

Bed Distribution:

This institute provides specialized services such as neurosurgery, neurology, urology, cardiology, and psychiatry tropical illnesses, and the surgical rate has increased dramatically. Counselling Service: - The 'Counselling Service' is for persons who are experiencing emotional or behavioural issues. Or addiction, or certain health concerns such as HIV/AIDS, but the fact is that people of all types seek Counselling, and this does not imply that they are "crazy" or "weak."

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Report: - A student must offer a narrative of an event or report facts from a book, article, or other source in a college report. While some research may be required when writing a report, it is mostly a document that asks you to understand rather than obtain the data on which you report.

Putlampally Village, 7 kilometres from Kadapa Town, is home to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences. The city is located in the Rayalaseema area of Andhra Pradesh, on the geological topography between the Eastern and Western Ghats, and is flanked on three sides by the Nallamala and Palkonda Hills.
Kadapa has strong road connectivity to other major cities in South India, as well as bus services to numerous destinations in other cities. The College is located 6.7 kilometres from the Kadapa APSRTC bus station and can be reached in 15 minutes via MDR 120 and MDR 119 roads.
