Maulana Azad Medical College

was founded in 1958 and is a famous government medical college. In 1957, the institution was founded as Composite Medical College near Irwin Hospital with 50 male and female students under the name Delhi Medical College. The institution moved to a new three-story structure dubbed the Anatomical Block in 1958, which eventually became the Burns & Plastic Surgery ward and had a small lecture theatre, library, and laboratory on the second level. The institution was named after Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, the country's most patriotic minister and India's first independent education minister, and it now serves as a model of medical achievement. This medical college offers sophisticated medical research and continuing research funds thanks to a variety of medical dissemination courses and a highly educated teaching staff. The MAMC facilities, which include four primary hospitals, are housed on a single campus, creating a unique setting for medical education and training. Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as physics and chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). Qualifying for the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination is also required of students (NEET) .

Admission Eligibility:

If you want to get an MBBS, you must take the National Qualification and Entry Examination (NEET) administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) after you finish grade 12. All government, private, intermediate, and tertiary universities will be based on NEET schools, and seats will be granted on an advising basis based on merit results/standards, college preferences, and available seats.

Maulana Azad Medical College is located in the centre of India's capital, Delhi. These colleges are connected to four other medical institutions, including Lok Nayak Hospital, GB Pant Institute of PG Medical Education and Research, Guru Nanak Eye Center, and Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, which are spread over 122 hectares of green and dirty land, in contrast to the surrounding areas. Annually, 426 faculty members and 810 doctors teach doctorate courses to undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral students. MAMC has state-of-the-art art classrooms, computer laboratories, and Hall, Canteen, Library, Sports, and Departmental labs, all built with the finest innovation and practice. 

Lecture Hall:

Lecture Theaters have around 200 seats, a gallery-style arrangement, controlled air conditioning, and cutting-edge technology such as microphones and speakers. The 800-seat home features a huge dining room and balcony, as well as fully ventilated aircraft, exquisite seats, theatrical lighting, projectors, microphones, and a PA system, and is utilized for a variety of academic functions. 

Library:

MAMC Library contains an average of 32,900 volumes in its collection, which covers all aspects of medical distribution. In addition, the library includes 33,600 back volumes, 3000 ideas, 170 international journals, 200 slides providing a wide range of medical scientific themes and research activities for PHD professors, and 650 CDs of various books and magazines. A first-floor study area with a calm ambiance and a suitable spot to rest after a long day of studying is also available at the library. Inside the library, there is also a computer lab.

Hostel:

MAMC and its hospitals provide on-campus housing for undergraduates, postgraduates, interns, and employees. UG students are housed in separate hostels for both boys and girls, with 359 rooms for males and 251 rooms for girls, as well as an adult student hostel and a new student dormitory. PG Students for Boys contains 203 rooms and 132 rooms for girls, with one person per room, and 126 boys and 67 girls for students learning for employment. On a first-come, first-served basis, rooms are available. A wooden bed, a study table, a chair, and an almirah are included in each room. New Hostel, as well as Old Boys' and Old Girls' Hostels, provide mess facilities. The Old Boys & Girls Hostel, as well as the Boys Intern Hostel, both has canteens. 

Cafeteria:

Hospital Facilities:

Three main hospitals and one dentistry institution are linked with Maulana Azad Medical College, which serves as a centre for patient performance. The Lok Nayak Jay Prakash Hospital, the GB Pant Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, the Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, and the Guru Nanak Eye Center, all of which are located close the campus, were founded in 1958, 1964, 1983, and 1977, respectively. These hospitals contain 2800 beds and 7200 daily inpatients, as well as 47 surgical rooms in which patients and medical students may train. In the fields of cardiology, cardiac surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery, and psychiatric medicine, hospitals provide specialist medical and surgical services. Student Support:

Anti- Ragging: - Any disorderly behaviour, whether via words said or written, or by an act, that has the effect of taunting, treating, or dealing a fresher or junior student with rudeness.

Health Care Services: - Medical services range from simple cold, virus, and minor injury treatment at less complete institutions to comprehensive lab tests, X-rays, specialists, and pharmacies at the most comprehensive centers. Counseling services are available in many campus health Programmes.

Counselling Service: - The 'Counselling Service' is for persons who are experiencing emotional or behavioural issues. or addiction, or certain health concerns such as HIV/AIDS, but the fact is that people of all types seek Counselling, and this does not imply that they are "crazy" or "weak."

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Report: - A student must offer a narrative of an event or report facts from a book, article, or other source in a college report. While some research may be required when writing a report, it is mostly a document that asks you to understand rather than obtain the data on which you report.
