Manipal TATA Medical College, Jamshedpur

Under a partnership initiative between Tata Steel and MAHE Manipal, Manipal-Tata Medical College is a famous institution and a premier medical and training facility. By signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in October 2020, MAHE Manipal was formally recognised as an Institution of Excellence (IOE) by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India. It is the first and only autonomous health scientific partnership. The institution is located in Baridih, Jamshedpur, India, province east of Jharkhand, and is a joint venture between the Manipal Institute of Higher Education (MAHE) and Tata Steel Jamshedpur Medical College focuses on the development of talents, technology, and scientific resources in order to deliver medical education to doctors who will practise in the future. The institution offers a devoted and well skilled teaching staff that is available to advise students at any time. It also has an internal evaluation mechanism that allows students to keep up with both instruction and self-assessment at the same time. Students might find stress reduction and relaxation in sports and recreation centres. The Indian Medical Committee has accepted this medical institution as a deemed university (IMC).

Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as Physics and Chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). It is also mandatory for students to take the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) .

Admission Eligibility:

A student seeking admission to a post-graduate programme must have earned an MBBS from a recognised university. Then, as per Section 10 (D) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single admission test to various MD/MS Courses.

This medical college is equipped with suitable and high-quality portable infrastructure, people, and cutting-edge, complex equipment. The development of all required resources, such as education, outdoor activities, and student entertainment, is always a top priority at the institution. MGM Colleges are divided into two blocks: Educational Depot and IBMS, and the Main Education Building, which houses Departments of Basic Medical Sciences, the Central Library, Laboratories, and the Examination Hall. In keeping with this, there are four study theatres, each with 90-110 seats and fully equipped with all contemporary audio and video equipment. They are highly aired, extremely open, absolutely cool, and fully equipped with all modern audio and video equipment. A well-equipped department-wide laboratory, museum, departmental library, and seminar / classrooms are available to college scholars.

About Hospital:

This medical college's hospital is equipped with 514 bedded facilities. The hospital building's outpatient department, medical department wards, emergency department, operation theatres, central laboratory, blood bank, pharmacy, and canteen, among other things, were all under construction. Within the hospital facility, there are night and day ambulance, pharmacy, and blood bank services, and an average of 600-700 patients receive OPD care each day.

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Report: - A student must offer a narrative of an event or report facts from a book, article, or other source in a college report. While some research may be required when writing a report, it is mostly a document that asks you to understand rather than obtain the data on which you report.

Manipal-Tata Medical College is located on the outskirts of Jamshedpur, It is the second largest city in Jharkhand and 130 kilometers from the country's capital Ranchi. The college has a quiet and clean environment and an hourly drive from the city. Jamshedpur has a local airport called Sonari and the distance from the college is 9KM and the nearest Railway Station is called Tata agar and the distance from the college is about 13KM.
