By signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in October 2020, MAHE Manipal was formally recognised as an Institution of Excellence (IOE) by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India. It is the first and only autonomous health scientific partnership. The institution is located in Baridih, Jamshedpur, India, province east of Jharkhand, and is a joint venture between the Manipal Institute of Higher Education (MAHE) and Tata Steel Jamshedpur Medical College focuses on the development of talents, technology, and scientific resources in order to deliver medical education to doctors who will practise in the future. MGM Colleges are divided into two blocks: Educational Depot and IBMS, and the Main Education Building, which houses Departments of Basic Medical Sciences, the Central Library, Laboratories, and the Examination Hall.
