Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as physics and chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). Mahavir Institute of Medical Science is located in Hyderabad's famous city of Vikarabad. This college is situated on 37 acres of beautiful green, environmentally friendly land. The Mahavir Institute of Medical Sciences, which comprises the Medical College building, Men's and Women's Hostels, Staff Houses, Guest House, General Hospital, Animal House, Play Ground, and Canteen, is spread out over 37 hectares. The medical college covers an area of 80000 square metres. This Medical College is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on all working days, and the General Hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for all emergency services. The inspection hall is 1030 square metres in size and can accommodate 750 people. An anti-Ragging group at the centre helps to promote a calm climate on campus. There are four Lecture Theaters available, each with enough for 200 people in one Teaching Theater and 180 in another.

Library:

On all working days and holidays, the Mahavir Institute of Medical Sciences Central Library is open from 8.30 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. The Central Library, located on the first level, is air conditioned and well-stocked with books. This collection includes Indian and foreign journals, periodicals, e-books, and an online resource with audio and visual assistance. Students and faculty have access to interactive multimedia CD-ROMs. It has a seating capacity of 150 students and is built on a 2400 square metres space. It contains a total of 5325 volumes, including reference books. There are 28 Indian and 14 foreign journals available for subscription. It also has advanced computer facilities, with 40 computers linked to the Internet. Students and faculty were housed in the Mahavir Institute of Medical Sciences.

Hostel:

The College contains both boys' and girls' dorms, as well as staff housing. The rooms are maintained clean and properly aired, and the beds are comfy. The UG boys' hostel has 74 rooms with two or three beds in each. In addition, 84 of the UG girls' hostel's 84 rooms are shared by two or three people. More than 350 undergraduate students are accommodated in these hostels. The Hostel's Mess supplied students with healthy and excellent cuisine. A dining area with comfy chairs and excellent service is available. Fresh water, electricity, and all other resources are readily available.

Sports:

Mahavir Medical College provides well-developed sports facilities for students. The center has facilities and facilities for indoor sports such as Table tennis, carom, Chess and outdoor sports such as cricket, Volleyball, Badminton and basketball. The college team participates in various competitions and cultural events. The center also has a variety of facilities full of Gymnasium so that students can improve their physical and mental health.

Hospital Facilities:

Rural residents have benefited from the Mahavir Institute of Medical Sciences Educational Hospital's high-quality care. This is one of the area's most well-known hospitals. This hospital's Victim Department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The OBG department has a separate emergency department that is attached to the staff room. This facility is also connected to O.T. emergencies and is well-equipped with Anaesthesia, rehabilitation, doctors on call 24 hours a day, and surgical equipment. This Institutional Hospital provides complete OPD services as well as health treatment to individuals of all ages. General Medicine, General Surgery, OBG, Dermatology, Paediatrics, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Psychiatry, and Dentistry, as well as all institutions, make up the OPD. Monday through Saturday, the General OPD is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The wards at the Teaching Hospital include 350 beds that have been allotted to recognized departments. Stretchers and wheelchairs, as well as lifts and ramps, are offered to help patients walk more easily. The presence of a UPS and backup generator ensures that emergency services and pharmacy are available. Inpatients receive free hygienic meals and mineral water from the hospital.

Student Support:

Anti- Ragging: - Any disorderly behaviour, whether via words said or written, or by an act, that has the effect of taunting, treating, or dealing a fresher or junior student with rudeness.

Health Care Services: - Medical services range from simple cold, virus, and minor injury treatment at less complete institutions to comprehensive lab tests, X-rays, specialists, and pharmacies at the most comprehensive centers. Counseling services are available in many campus health Programmes.

Counselling Service: - The 'Counselling Service' is for persons who are experiencing emotional or behavioural issues. or addiction, or certain health concerns such as HIV/AIDS, but the fact is that people of all types seek Counselling, and this does not imply that they are "crazy" or "weak."

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Report: - A student must offer a narrative of an event or report facts from a book, article, or other source in a college report. While some research may be required when writing a report, it is mostly a document that asks you to understand rather than obtain the data on which you report.

How to reach us:

It takes 4.5 miles and 12 minutes to drive from Mahavir Institute of Medical Science to Vikarabad Bus Station through Mahavir Hospital. Walking 5 kilometres through Mahavir Hospital from Mahavir Medical College to Vikarabad train station takes 15 minutes. Hyderabad, 60 kilometres away, is the closest city to the college.
