Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as Physics and Chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). It is also mandatory for students to take the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) .

Admission Eligibility:

A student seeking admission to a post-graduate programme must have earned an MBBS from a recognised university. Then, as per Section 10 (D) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single admission test to various MD/MS Courses.

Infrastructure:

The lovely city of Kalaburagi, Karnataka, is home to Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College. The campus is many acres in size and is surrounded by beautiful vegetation. The centre is dedicated to providing high-quality, comprehensive medical education that promotes innovative research and development concepts. This medical institution is housed in a four-story structure that spans over 120,000 square feet and houses numerous pre- and medical departments, as well as the Department of Medical Education. In addition to teaching and research, the college offers hospital services. The Medical College Examination Hall has a capacity of 750 people, and there are six lecture halls with audio and visual aids. The campus has all of the required facilities, such as sophisticated labs and clinical departments. The college also have hostel inside the campus, providing proper care for the student, which feels like a home away from home. Facilities inside the campus includes, General Medicine, library, sports complex, laboratories, Auditorium and many more to take care of the students’ needs and requirements. 

About Hospital:

Clinical training was first provided in the Govt. District Hospital (now District Health Office) on the Main Road, which had a very limited area. Due to the college's demands and the then-PWD minister, Sri. Veerendra Patil's significant interest, the government began building of an 850-bed hospital on Sedam Road. It was decided to create its own hospital for teaching reasons, a specified location near the college on Sedam Road, in order to promote the health of the inhabitants of this region by providing quality health care and offering great training facilities for medical students. In 1989, the college bestowed a silver jubilee on Basaveshwara Hospital. The foundation stone was laid by Sri R Venkataram, the former Vice President of India in 1983. people from different parts of the world can get better treatment. Basaveshwara Hospital was built as a special hospital and was opened by the late Sri Rajiv Gandhi, then Prime Minister of India.

Counselling Service: - The 'Counseling Service' is for persons who are experiencing emotional or behavioural issues. or addiction, or certain health concerns such as HIV/AIDS, but the fact is that people of all types seek Counselling, and this does not imply that they are "crazy" or "weak."

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Report: - A student must offer a narrative of an event or report facts from a book, article, or other source in a college report. While some research may be required when writing a report, it is mostly a document that asks you to understand rather than obtain the data on which you report.

How to reach us:

The distance between the KSRTC Bus Station in Kalaburagi and Mahadevappa Medical College is 2.6 kilometres, with a journey time of 8 to 10 minutes through Sedam Road. This college is about 450 metres away from the Government Hospital bus station, which is only a 5-minute walk away. Gulbarga Junction to Mahadevappa Medical College is 4.2 kilometres long and takes 15 minutes to travel through Sadem Road and Old Jewargi Road. The distance from Kalburagi Airport to this Medical College is 12.3 kilometres, with a travel duration of 20 minutes through Sadem Road.
