Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as Physics and Chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). It is also mandatory for students to take the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) .

Admission Eligibility:

A student seeking admission to a post-graduate programme must have earned an MBBS from a recognised university. Then, as per Section 10 (D) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single admission test to various MD/MS Courses.

Infrastructure:

Bengaluru, the capital city of Karnataka, is home to the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences. The campus is surrounded by lush nature and spreads out over numerous acres. It has audio and video services, CCTV, and a computer with online resources. There are only a few multi-seat lecture halls available. The Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences has an Administrative Block with well-ventilated class rooms, modernised lecture halls, equipped examination halls, demonstration halls, and dissection halls, as well as transportation for students and staff. In addition, the College provides a Canteen for students' use. There are two separate hostels at present, one for the boys and another for the girls. The boys and girls hostels are located in the Institute campus at Banashankari and can accommodate about 200 students each. Student Welfare Officers and Wardens are always available to students and interns to lend a patient ear to all their problems related to curricular activities and to provide suitable remedies.

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
