Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Wardha

(Private College) was established back in the year 1990. This college is regarded as the most popular college in Maharashtra in sawangi, is affiliated with Dutta Meghe Institute of medical Science which is a deemed university in Nagpur, and is approved by the NMC.

Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as Physics and Chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). It is also mandatory for students to take the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) .

Admission Eligibility:

A student seeking admission to a post-graduate programme must have earned an MBBS from a recognised university. Then, as per Section 10 (D) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single admission test to various MD/MS Courses.

Infrastructure:

The constituent Units of Deemed University are located in a 125 acre campus in Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha and is surrounded by greenery. The campus is filled with all necessary amenities or modern laboratories and clinical department. The college also have hostel inside the campus, providing proper care for the student, which feels like a home away from home. Facilities inside the campus includes, General Medicine, library, sports complex, laboratories, Auditorium and many more to take care of the students’ needs and requirements.

Library:

DR. SG DESAI LIBRARY is the Central Library of KLE ACADEMY OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH and is a three-storied architectural elegance built on an area of about 43,440 square feet with a reference part, modern reading rooms with 24 × 7 services, digital library with Internet, binding section, audiovisual room and reprographic facilities. Access to the digital library can be obtained anywhere on campus using Wi-Fi and off campus with remote access. The entire library is monitored by CCTV. The library has over 33,000 textbooks related to health sciences and a subscription to 218 international and national prints.

Anti- Ragging: - Any disorderly behavior, whether via words said or written, or by an act, that has the effect of taunting, treating, or dealing a fresher or junior student with rudeness.

Health Care Services: - Medical services range from simple cold, virus, and minor injury treatment at less complete institutions to comprehensive lab tests, X-rays, specialists, and pharmacies at the most comprehensive centers. Counseling services are available in many campus health Programmed.

Counselling Service: - The 'Counseling Service' is for persons who are experiencing emotional or behavioural issues. or addiction, or certain health concerns such as HIV/AIDS, but the fact is that people of all types seek Counselling, and this does not imply that they are "crazy" or "weak."

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Report: - A student must offer a narrative of an event or report facts from a book, article, or other source in a college report. While some research may be required when writing a report, it is mostly a document that asks you to understand rather than obtain the data on which you report.

How to reach us:

Belgaum, Karnataka, India's Javaharlal Nehru Medical College, often known as Belagavi, is 510 kilometres northwest of Bangalore. Belgaum is well linked by road, train, and air, and the medical college lies within 5 kilometres of the city limits and can be reached in 10 minutes with round-the-clock transportation.

The institution is 5 kilometres from the Belgaum railway connection, which takes around 15 minutes to reach. The city has a domestic airport, which is around 14.5 kilometres and 30 minutes distant from the campus. The closest international airport is Mopa International Airport in Goa, which is around 108 kilometres away and takes about 2 hours to go to from the campus.
