There were just two units at first, one of which was led by an assistant professor, but regular instructors took over after that. Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as physics and chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). Bhavnagar, Gujarat's Government Medical College is located in a lovely city. This medical campus is spread out across numerous acres in a beautiful green, environmentally friendly setting. Bhavnagar Medical College is located on the ground level and has four stories. The G +1 floor houses the primary hospital. A distinct OPD site is located on the G + 7th-floor building, which is connected to a hospital building via a hallway. For each door, there is plenty of room.

Library:

As a completely furnished Carpet area, the Central Library has been erected in a new second-floor college building with an area of 1155.82 square metres. Two hundred and twenty gifted children are housed in three classrooms. There are separate staff rooms as well as internship opportunities. Separate reading halls and rooms for 530 master's grads, as well as a 30-person staff room, are available in the library. It has 23122 books and 111 journals, including 74 Indian and 48 international publications, as well as journal E. The printed version does not include any international journals. Audio and video resources, a digital video player, a television, and copy resources are all available at the library. It also contains a separate air-conditioned area with 102 PCs with high-speed internet for students and employees. Students and instructors, as well as undergraduate and graduate students, can use the library's computers and internet resources to access online journals for college enrollment.

Lecture Hall:

GMC Bhavnagar has six well-equipped halls with gallery style seating, innovative audio visual aids, and a conducive learning environment. The LC V has a seating capacity of 390 students and four halls can accommodate 180 students each. These are the five halls that Medical Colleges use. The Nursing Hospital uses one with a capacity of 150 students. There is also a 750-seat Examination College hall on campus. Television, Internet, VCR, Xerox, and a microfilm reader are all available at Medical College. For air conditioning, Ovid Medline full text regions are also available. Two digital cameras, one SLR camera with a tripod, one automatic camera with focus, one black room for development and printing, two square drawing boards, and four brushes are available at the college.

Hostel:

Within the campus, there are two hostels for both boys and girls. Built on a total area of 1990 square metres. There are 75 rooms for boys and 50 rooms for girls, each with 150 and 100 seats. The Mess & Canteen programme, dining hall, Audience Room Access, Reading Room, TV Room, and Indoor Games are all available at the hostel. In addition, Sir Takhtsingh General Hospital houses the Maharshi Charak Boys medical hostel. It first opened in 1997, with a 100-person capacity, 50 rooms, and a three-story structure. On the ground floor, there are 11 rooms, and on the first, second, and third floors, there are 13. The hostel manager, who is also a student Counsellor, is an experienced head teacher. A hostel manager who works under the supervision and guidance of a guard is known as a guard manager. 

Sports:

BMC offers a wide range of extracurricular activities for students, including music, television, and indoor and outdoor sports. It features a variety of playgrounds for various games. There is a spacious cricket and volleyball stadium, as well as a parking shelter that can accommodate 50 motorbikes, in contrast to the hostel. Cricket, badminton, soccer, and volleyball are examples of outdoor sports. Indoor sports such as table tennis, bridge, chess, and carom are also available.

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
