Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as physics and chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). Qualifying for the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination is also required of students (NEET) .

Infrastructure:

In Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, the Gayatri Vidya Parishad medical college is located. This medical complex is set on 28 acres of beautiful green, environmentally friendly land. A Medical College Block, a Hospital Block, and a Residential Complex for employees and students make up the GVP Institute complex. The Dean's office, as well as the Pre-Clinical and Para-Clinical Departments of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, and Community Medicine, are presently housed in the college building. Two 180-seat lecture rooms with e-class capabilities are available at the college. A 250-person test hall with CCTV and a portable jammer is available. In the future, the hospital will be enlarged to 650 beds to accommodate all specialties. 

Library:

An 1800 square metre library with 4500 text volumes with subscriptions to 29 Indian and 15 international publications. For e-library use, the library contains 40 computers with internet connectivity. It features separate reading rooms for pupils and employees, with a total capacity of 225 students.

Hostel:

The institution contains a separate boys' and girls' hostel with a built-up area of almost one acre. There are 44 rooms in the men's hostel, each of which can accommodate three students. There are 68 rooms in the women's hostel, each of which can accommodate three students. Residents and nurses are housed in separate hostels. There is internet access and a power backup at the hostel. Each hostel room has three bunk beds, a toilet, a wardrobe, a book rack, and a study table. The hostels have a kitchen and dining area where vegetarian cuisine is served.

Sports:

In each hostel, there is a separate Gymnasium for boys and girls. This college also has both indoor and outdoor gaming facilities. Badminton, basketball, and cricket are among the sports played on the court. To accommodate hostel students, both hostels feature locker rooms, a TV room, and a digital study area with a computer and internet. CCTV cameras have been installed in the common areas to assure the hostel students' safety and security.

Hospital Facilities:

This 300-bed institution, which will be developed to a 750-bed hospital over the following four years, serves the growing northern parts of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation as well as the surrounding neighbourhood. To care for the patients, the hospital has about 80 doctors in various disciplines and 175 nurses. The GVP Hospital, which is located on National Highway 16 (previously NH 5) and offers the following services, is open to the public. Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, and Dentistry, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Tuberculosis, and Chest Diseases, and Psychiatry, Obstetrics, and Gynecology are among the specialties available. Medicine and associated disciplines, including a 15-bed intensive care unit (ICU), an intensive care unit (ICCU), a medical intensive care unit (MICU), and a surgical intensive care unit (SICU). There are five major surgery theatres and two minor operation theatres at the facility.

Student Support:

Anti- Ragging: - Any disorderly behaviour, whether via words said or written, or by an act, that has the effect of taunting, treating, or dealing a fresher or junior student with rudeness.

Health Care Services: - Medical services range from simple cold, virus, and minor injury treatment at less complete institutions to comprehensive lab tests, X-rays, specialists, and pharmacies at the most comprehensive centers. Counseling services are available in many campus health Programmes.

Counselling Service: - The 'Counselling Service' is for persons who are experiencing emotional or behavioural issues. or addiction, or certain health concerns such as HIV/AIDS, but the fact is that people of all types seek Counselling, and this does not imply that they are "crazy" or "weak."

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Report: - A student must offer a narrative of an event or report facts from a book, article, or other source in a college report. While some research may be required when writing a report, it is mostly a document that asks you to understand rather than obtain the data on which you report.

How to reach us:

The medical college is 25 kilometers from Vishakhapatnam airport. When you come to Vizag railway station, the distance between the station and the college is 21 kilometers. From the Vizag RTC complex, the college is 19 Kms. You need to catch the bus route numbers 222 or 999. Route 222 passes through Marikavalasa village towards Tagarapuvalasa. Route 999 passes through Marikavalasa village towards Bimili.
