The Medical Council of India has authorized GSL Medical College, which is associated with NTR University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada (MCI).
GSL Medical College is located in the Andhra Pradesh city of Rajahmundry. The GSL Medical College Campus is 85 hectares in size, with nearly 1,000,000 square metres of structures under construction. Classrooms, numerous departments, a library, and labs located in windy locations make up the medical college structure, which spans over 22,500 square metres. Separately, hostels and residential rooms, as well as hospital buildings, are available.
At Medical College, there are three Examination Halls with a total space of 762 sq. mt, 300 sq. mt, and 250 sq. mt with a total capacity of more than 750 students. There are five study halls in the medical college. On each campus, there are four lecture halls with 240 students sitting and one accessible classroom with 500 student apartments. In the 450-student Hospital, there is one teaching theatre. These theatres are designed in the shape of a gallery, with all of the required amenities including audio and visual. There are separate indoor and outdoor classrooms, each with capacity for up to 250 children. There are 60 living spaces in each of the PG and student reading rooms. There is a separate stack room and a staff room. The Central Library includes 15,589 textbooks as well as 84 Indian and 61 international magazines. The GSL Medical College Institute of Medical's hostel and housing are spread out across 34,400 square metres on the college's campus. GSL Medical College General Hospital is a 44,100-square-meter facility with an outpatient clinic. Approximately 2500 outpatients are treated here. This teaching hospital has 1080 beds available, with patients caring for 75% of them. Both male and female patients have access to a separate injection area, dressing room, and concrete chambers within the facility.
These hospital beds are organized into medical departments based on their needs. Each individual has 210 beds in Medication and General Surgery, 120 beds in Pediatrics, Orthopedics, and Obstetrics and Gynecology, and 60 beds in TB & Respiratory Medicine, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, and ENT. The psychiatry and radiotherapy departments each contain 60 beds.
More than 800 daily tests and sections of Microbiology, Hematology, and Biochemistry are available at these Hospital Laboratories, which are part of the Department of Pathology. The hospital contains 21 operating theatres, as well as 17 major operation operating regions and four minor surgical facilities. The critical care unit is equipped with everything you need. Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
