Grant Medical College is a famous government college that was founded in 1845. It is one of Asia's best and oldest medical institutes, teaching Western medicine. Grant Medical College is one of the eight Indian medical institutes approved by the Singapore Medical Council. Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as physics and chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). It is also mandatory for students to take the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) .

Admission Eligibility:

If you want to get an MBBS, you must take the National Qualification and Entry Examination (NEET) administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) after you finish grade 12. All government, private, intermediate, and tertiary universities will be based on NEET schools, and seats will be granted on an advising basis based on merit results/standards, college preferences, and available seats.

Infrastructure:

Grant Medical College is located in Mumbai, which is a wonderful city. Grant Medical College in Mumbai is spread out across 43 hectares. The Sir J.J Group of Hospitals spans 6890 square meters. Teaching theatres, demo rooms, general rooms, laboratory, library, skills lab, computer lab, hall, hostel, restaurant, and trash are all part of GMC and the hospital. There are 250 seats in a theatre. The hall is 800 square meters in size. A central integrated AV recording system with current features such as an 11 LCD projector, 8 slide projectors, and 8 additional projectors is also available. 

Library:

Grant Medical College has a central library as well as departmental libraries. The major library is 6 hectares in size. It possesses 45000 medical journals and reference books, and it subscribes to 449 Indian and foreign publications per year. Experienced librarians looked after the library. A departmental museum at Grant Medical College houses samples, models, charts, radiographs, bonesets, and catalogues. This is carried out by students under the supervision of a professional. There are 50 cadaver-practicing students in the Anatomy department. Models of human and other animals, upper and lower limbs, abdomen, and nervous system may be found in the museum.

Hostel:

There are 860 rooms for graduate students, 410 graduate students, and 200 interns in the GMC hostel. Both have a table, a cupboard, and restrooms attached to them. The dirt is provided by the hostel, which has a separate cafeteria for females and boys. Classrooms at the GMC dormitory offer air conditioning, a guest hall with internet access and a TV lounge, as well as seven canteens for staff and students. 

Sports:

Grant Medical College has a large range of sports to choose from, as well as suitable playgrounds. Cricket, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and badminton are all played at the outdoor stadium. The college hostel houses the Gymnasium Hall. Table tennis, carom, chess, and other indoor games are available. The playground provides a secure and comfortable atmosphere for pupils.

Grant Medical College is linked with the Sir J.J Group of Hospitals. There are 2845 beds in total in the hospital, 13 wounded people, and ICU-81. It includes 18 big operating theatres and two tiny operating theatres that do around 80 operations each day. X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and an MRI scan are all available at the radiology department, which is both AREB and PNDT authorized. The Sir J.J Group of Hospitals provides clinical services to the injured, paramedics, surgeons, radiological centre, blood bank, and other departments' research facilities 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The hospital contains a working-class teaching theatre.
