Government Medical College, Aurangabad

founded in August 1956, is a famous government college in Aurangabad. In the Marathwada Region, it has the largest tertiary care hospital. This is referred to as GHATI. The college was founded in Aurangabad, the capital of Marathwada, a historic city. With only 50 pupils, the centre began in the Nizam Bungalow historic site in a unique suburb of the city. In the beginning, the infectious disease, infectious disease, and obstetric wards were all housed in the same building in Amkhas. After more than 50 years, the College today has 150 MBBS students, 85 graduates, 120 BPMT students, and 50 B.Sc. nursing students. The education committee has complete responsibility over the undergraduate curriculum and ensures that it is developed as needed. The institution has been hosting the IRCON (Inter-disciplinary Research Conference) for the last three years, which gives a fantastic opportunity for new students and lecturers to demonstrate and discuss their academic achievements and collaboration talents. Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as physics and chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). Admission Eligibility:

It is compulsory for medical enthusiasts to appear on the National Qualification and Entry Examination (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) after grade 12 wishing to obtain MBBS. All Government, Private, Intermediate and Tertiary Universities will be based on NEET schools and seats for all colleges / institutions / universities will be offered on advisory based on merit results / Standards, College preferences and available seats.

Infrastructure: 

Government Medical College is located in Maharashtra's beautiful city of Aurangabad. The College has 30 buildings spread out across a total of 99 hectares, with a total area of 40 hectares. The Center's primary administrative and instructional structure is a four-story building with red stones, stone pillars, and broad entrances built in the shape of a colony. The college's main building has a variety of theatres, a pathology museum, an anatomy museum, a PSM museum, a café, and an accessible living hall on the ground floor, as well as the Dean's Office on the first floor. There are 800 pupils and resources required. The Out-Patient Block, Surgical and OB-GYN wards, Medicine ward, and the Super-Specialty for Cardiology & CVTS are among the other facilities on campus. 

Library:

Hostel:

The student and staff housing of Aurangabad Government Medical College is outstanding. It contains separate hostels for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as separate male and female dormitories. Hospital Facilities: 

With over 1170 beds and comprehensive health services, this has become one of the greatest hospitals in the region. Over 27,800 patients were seen on average every month in the OPD, and 5,650 in the IPD. With state-of-the-art outpatient (OPD) and inpatient base (IPD) facilities, the 1177-bed hospital provides medical services. The incredible expansion of this Government Medical College hospital can be attributed to special services. In all clinical, Para-clinical, and preclinical resources, provided skilled and devoted professionals with state-of-the-art technology. For the past four years, the hospital has had a highly exceptional set of cardiovascular thoracic surgical facilities (CVTS). ). Course materials and resources for forthcoming courses in cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, transfusion medicine, anesthesiology, and other related fields. Specialist doctors will give specific patient care 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The New Medicine Ward Building will house departmental services, while the Nephrology Building is now under construction, bringing specialty treatments like hemodialysis and kidney transplants under one roof. The Trauma Care Center is in a state of disarray, but it is ready to provide the best possible care to the patient. To minimize infant mortality, a fully complete Neonatology Unit is being constructed, which will provide all of the in-depth resources for neonates. The Government Cancer Hospital has been a boon to the people of Marathwada.
