Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as physics and chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). Qualifying for the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination is also required of students (NEET) .

Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh is home to the GITAM Institute of Medical Science and Research. This Medical College is situated on 29.9 acres of beautiful green, environmentally favorable land. The GIMSR Medical Institute includes three teaching halls with a total capacity of 180 students, each equipped with audio and video equipment, and the hospital has one lecture theatre with seating for 200 people.  

Laboratory:

This medical college laboratory and museum offers students with examples that are quite valuable. For student testing, neighbouring demo rooms are available in the laboratories. These laboratories have stainless steel workstations, as well as running water, power, and gas. Experimental studies in Histology, Histopathology, Biochemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Experimental Pharmacology, and Clinical Pharmacy Labs are available to Medical College students.

Library:

The Central Library of the Medical College is 2449 square metres in size. The Library is fully air-conditioned, with seating for 150 students both inside and out, and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It also features a separate staff area with 34 seats. With a total of 5065 items, this library has a large selection of current literature and reference materials. There are 42 journals accessible, including 28 Indian journals and 14 international journals awaiting publication. In addition, a 40-computer digital library for Internet Browsing and Downloads for Developments in the Medical Sciences is provided. Students offer clean drinking water, as well as men's and women's restrooms and coffee machines, at the library.

Hostel:

The Medical Center houses 500 students in separate dormitories for male and female students, each with 250 rooms. It features completely furnished and air-conditioned rooms, computerized classrooms, guest rooms, a lounge with TV, music, and indoor activities, as well as fully furnished and air-conditioned rooms. Canteen operates a pleasant eating service that provides clean and nutritional cuisine. The individuals who live on this campus are constantly kept safe and secure.

Hospital Facilities:

The Medical Institute of Gandhi Hospital of Technology and Management was founded in 2010 on a 29.9-hectare complex. GIMSR students will have the opportunity to cooperate with and learn from other top technology experts. A total of 1300 patients are seen here, with inpatient wards accounting for 85 percent of the beds. GIMSR Hospital had 360 beds when it first opened, but it currently has 410 beds. They remain in 19 wards, with 100 general medicine beds, 45 Paediatric beds, 100 surgical beds, 60 Orthopaedics beds, 60 obstetric and Gynaecological beds, and 15 ENT beds.  

Other Facilities:

The hospital contains nine operating rooms, seven major operating rooms, and two minor operating rooms, all of which are fully equipped. Depression sections like as the ICCU, ICU, SICU, and NICU / PICU, each with 5 beds and all of the newest amenities, are available. The hospital employs 241 nurses and paramedics. There are blood banks and pharmacies available, as well as a variety of resources. Under the supervision of professional specialists, the Central Laboratory is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There are microbiologists, pathologists, and specific hematological, microbiologic, serological, and biochemical testing accessible. The Radiology department has 600 MA and 400 MA X-ray equipment, as well as two mobile x-rays and two ultrasound units. Throughout the day, two ambulances are stationed on the hospital premises.

Counselling Service: - The 'Counselling Service' is for persons who are experiencing emotional or behavioural issues. or addiction, or certain health concerns such as HIV/AIDS, but the fact is that people of all types seek Counselling, and this does not imply that they are "crazy" or "weak."

Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Report: - A student must offer a narrative of an event or report facts from a book, article, or other source in a college report. While some research may be required when writing a report, it is mostly a document that asks you to understand rather than obtain the data on which you report.

How to reach us:

Visakhapatnam Bheemunipatnam Beach Chittivalasa to Resapuvanipalem Road in Maddilapalem can be reached in 25 to 30 minutes from the Visakhapatnam Dwaraka Bus Station to the 11-kilometer bus stop at Rushikonda. The distance between the APSRTC bus station and the Rushikonda bus station is 24.5 kilometres and takes 40 minutes to go through Kothapeta CJM Road to Visakhapatnam Bheemunipatnam Beach Chittivalasa Road via Visakhapatnam Bheemunipatnam Beach Chittivalasa Road. At Endada Rushikonda Road and GITAM College Road, the Rushikonda bus stop to GITAM Medical College is 3 kilometres long and takes 10 minutes. The 30-minute trip from GITAM Medical College to Visakhapatnam Railway Station takes 15 kilometres via the Bheemunipatnam Beach Chittivalasa route. The distance between Visakhapatnam Airport and the Medical College is 23 kilometres, and it takes 45 to 50 minutes to go there through Visakhapatnam Bheemunipatnam Beach Chittivalasa and NH16.
