was founded in 1996 in Pune, Maharashtra, as an associate of DR. DY Patil Vidyapeeth. The institution is NAAC-accredited and ISO-certified, and it was the first private college in Maharashtra to receive approval from the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the Indian government. The College began with 100 seats for the MBBS Course, which was the yearly intake at the time. Apart from providing education, the major purpose of this institute is to educate and train students in such a way that they can recognise and prioritise health needs in order to better serve mankind.

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as Physics and Chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students).
