The college has established itself as a premier institution in the province in terms of providing an accessible, affordable, high-quality, complete health and development plan that satisfies the requirements of the people of Coimbatore and the surrounding areas. The Coimbatore Medical College is in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, often known as South Manchester. With exceptional professors, high-quality infrastructure, and appropriate clinical facilities, the institution is transforming into a knowledge temple. The institution has weathered the test of time and continues to progress by offering a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate super-special courses, and emergency services to the poor, destitute, and good students. Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as Physics and Chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). It is also mandatory for students to take the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) .

A student seeking admission to a post-graduate programme must have earned an MBBS from a recognised university. Then, as per Section 10 (D) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single admission test to various MD/MS Courses.

Coimbatore Medical College is located in Coimbatore, a lovely city in Tamil Nadu. The Medical College Campus is a 200-acre woodland property at the foot of College Hill on the southern limits of Vellore city. The Medical College is a two-story structure with a G+2 floor plan. The institution, which opened in 1966, has undergone several renovations to suit the present structure. Each department of the Coimbatore Government Medical College has its own academic hall.  The lecture halls have a capacity of more than 150 students and are equipped with nice chairs, microphone space, UPS, LCD Projector, OHP Projector, Slide Projector, and other technology to effectively and efficiently instruct students. The public hall is being built in tandem with the private hall. The hall can accommodate more than 750 pupils. Beautiful grass and other beautiful plants in the front contribute to the already 'eye-catching' hall's stunning landscape and light impact. There are two examination rooms at Coimbatore Medical College, each with sufficient amenities to give students with a comfortable and peaceful atmosphere in which to write examinations. There are 30 departments at the institution, each with well-developed and well-equipped laboratories. Each has its own distinct value, strong technological characteristics, and is managed by people who have undergone extensive training.

About Hospital

The campus's hospital is called as CMC Hospital, and it was founded in 1892 in makeshift huts. It is now completely devoted to creating healthy people, not only by making state-of-the-art medical care facilities available to all inhabitants of the State's rural population, but also by offering state-of-the-art medical facilities in tandem with the country's rapid technological improvement.  Medicine is an area of study. It also had a Multi Clinic department and a hospital campus with a surgical block, a trauma block, an ICU block, a specialty block, a blood bank, a library block, a mortuary, a two-story laboratory, additional wards, and an administrative area. They're all in close proximity and are well connected. The total built-up area of CMC Hospital is 1, 81, 044.27 square metres. With 75 buildings, 1400 beds, and 30 entrances, roughly 5,500 untreated patients are seen everyday.

Coimbatore Government Medical College is in the Tamil Nadu province, in the town of Coimbatore. It is a big city located on the banks of the Noyal River and surrounded by the Western Ghats in Tamil Nadu's region.
