BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad

established in 1946, is one of the greatest government medical institutes. This Medical College in Ahmedabad is one of the country's most important providers of trained personnel. The school has made a substantial contribution to the Indian Medical Research Council's research. In the worldwide vaccine sector, the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) is renowned as a pioneer in an integrated curriculum, pediatric health care, and training. The Ahmedabad Medical School, which was linked with the Ahmedabad Public Hospital, was founded in 1871. The school got off to a solid start, with 14 students training to be medical aides. Shri Byramjee Jeejeebhoy contributed Rs.20,000 to the college in 1879, following which it was renamed B J Medical School and contacted Bombay University, where it maintained a senior status as BJ Medical College. For its degree, it was affiliated with the University of Gujarat in 1951. The Medical Council of India has authorized BJ Medical College, which is associated with Gujarat University (MCI).

Admission Eligibility:

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as physics and chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). Qualifying for the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination is also required of students (NEET) .

Admission Eligibility:

If you want to get an MBBS, you must take the National Qualification and Entry Examination (NEET) administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA) after you finish grade 12. All government, private, intermediate, and tertiary universities will be based on NEET schools, and seats will be granted on an advising basis based on merit results/standards, college preferences, and available seats.

The picturesque city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is home to Shri Byramjee Jeejeebhoy. This Medical Campus is spread out over numerous acres in a beautiful green, environmentally friendly setting. The intellectual and staff members of the college have their own house on campus. The residential quarters are placed in a pollution-free environment with pleasant living circumstances. Cable television, 24-hour security, telephone, water, and power are all included in these units. The hostel is equipped with a 24-hour drinking water system, hot water system, entertainment area, a range of indoor and outdoor activities, cafés and a restaurant to suit the needs of students, cable TV, and communication equipment. 

Hostel:

Separate rooms with associated toilets are offered for boys and females. There are 1358 undergraduate students, 300 interns, 650 citizens, and 1208 nurses in residence. There are additionally 106 teaching personnel and 108 non-teaching workers living there. Security is provided by well-trained and experienced security officers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

Sports:

There is a lovely lounge at BJ Medical College with music, television, and indoor and outdoor activities. There are also separate playgrounds for each outdoor game. There is also plenty of room for indoor activities. Cricket, soccer, volleyball, basketball, Kabaddi, and tennis are examples of outdoor sports facilities. Indoor sports facilities such as Table Tennis, Chess, and Carom are also available. A Gymnasium is also accessible for student fitness and wellness. Staff is well-trained, and the equipment is well-developed. 

Library:

PJ Medical College's Central Library was founded in 1946. P.J. Medical Library in Gujarat, the institution is a notable repository of biomedical literature. It is located in a college library with a seating capacity of 500 people. On the back pages, there are 41,000 books and journals, 3434 research papers, 2032 reports, activities, and 236 current journal yearly subscriptions. The facility offers an air-conditioned library with a large selection of literature on many aspects of campus life. Books by national and international authors, as well as national and international journals, are available at the library. A Titan CD server with 170 CDs and 9 terminals connected to a CD server on a local network were recently supplied by the library. This server can download up to 170 CDs, allowing people from all around the world to enjoy their favourite CDs. The library is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Lecture Halls:

Lecture Theaters, a sort of air-conditioned gallery used for instructional purposes, are well-equipped at BJMC. Six Theaters can hold 600 pupils, while LC VII can handle 700. These are the seven halls that Medical College makes use of. Asmitha Bhavan and Cama Hall are the other two halls. Asmitha Bhavan can accommodate 500 people, whereas Cama Hall can accommodate 382 people. There is also a 700-seat Examination Hall on the premises. It occupied 1200 square metres.

It is in charge of registering and maintaining data for outdoor / in-house and specialty clinics, as well as Fia Emergency registration at the Advanced Trauma Center. The hospital has 32 major operating rooms with an average of 65 surgeries per day and four small operating rooms with an average of 106 minor procedures per day. The hospital admits 1800 patients every day, according to a survey report. Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

Report: - A student must offer a narrative of an event or report facts from a book, article, or other source in a college report. While some research may be required when writing a report, it is mostly a document that asks you to understand rather than obtain the data on which you report

The hamlet lies 14 miles [23 kilometres] from the country's capital, Gandhinagar, which has twin cities, on the banks of the Sabarmati River.
