Andhra Medical College is a unitary campus in Visakhapatnam that spans over 25 acres. This college administration block is over 500 square metres and includes a principal's office, a staff room, a college council room, an office superintendent room, and a 200 square metre office. Male and female students have separate common rooms, each measuring 200 square metres and equipped with toilet facilities.
With the air-conditioning facility, there are six lecture halls accessible. There are five lecture halls accessible at college. Each of them has a capacity of 250 people and includes audio and video equipment. The hospital has one lecture hall with a seating capacity of 500 people and audio and visual aids. These lecture halls have a gallery design. There are two examination halls with seating capacities of 500 and 250 students each. This Medical College Auditorium was constructed in 2000 square metres and includes all amenities.
The Central Library of this Medical College is 3400 square metres in size and has air conditioning. King George Hospital is the teaching hospital of Andhra Medical College. Honorable Rajah of Panagal, Chief Minister of Madras, inaugurated it on July 19, 1923. The hospital began with 192 beds with departments of gynecology, maternity, ophthalmology, veneerology, and infectious diseases. Then, in 1928, a 40-bed Gynaecology and Maternity block was built.
In 1951, twin operating theatres and a special ward were built. The 24-hour Clinical Laboratory Block was renovated in 1992.
The Nuclear Medicine Block, the first of its kind in the state government, debuted on October 8, 1993. This hospital now has 1037 beds, including 570 beds at outside teaching hospitals. These are then given to the appropriate medical departments. There are about 1350 outpatients here, and all of the beds are taken by inpatients. There are a total of 30 air-conditioned operating theatres accessible, with 21 for major operations and 9 for minor operations.
This hospital was founded as a private hospital in the name of Queen Victoria. The late Maharajah Sri G.N. Gajapathi Rao, KCIE donated this hospital in 1894. In 1949, the Madras government took over the administration of the hospital. It was recently refurbished with additional blocks and contains three units with 147 bedrooms.
Anti- Ragging: - Any disorderly behaviour, whether via words said or written, or by an act, that has the effect of taunting, treating, or dealing a fresher or junior student with rudeness.
Health Care Services: - Medical services range from simple cold, virus, and minor injury treatment at less complete institutions to comprehensive lab tests, X-rays, specialists, and pharmacies at the most comprehensive centers. Counseling services are available in many campus health Programmes.
Counselling Service: - The 'Counselling Service' is for persons who are experiencing emotional or behavioural issues. Or addiction, or certain health concerns such as HIV/AIDS, but the fact is that people of all types seek Counselling, and this does not imply that they are "crazy" or "weak."
Hostel: - Students may arrive two days ahead to the commencement of the academic semester and must exit Residential rooms within two days of the completion of regular exams. Rooms have a bed, a table, a chair, and almirahs. Mess with vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
Report: - A student must offer a narrative of an event or report facts from a book, article, or other source in a college report. While some research may be required when writing a report, it is mostly a document that asks you to understand rather than obtain the data on which you report.
