Admission Eligibility

Students seeking admission to this college must be 17 years old by December 31st of the admission year. Students with a minimum of 50 percent in science subjects, including biology or biotechnology, as well as Physics and Chemistry, are eligible (in the case of SC/ST students, 40 percent in board examinations; 45 percent for OBC students). It is also mandatory for students to take the National Eligibility and Entrance Examination (NEET) .

Admission Eligibility

A student seeking admission to a post-graduate programme must have earned an MBBS from a recognized university. Then, as per Section 10 (D) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single admission test to various MD/MS Courses.

The Hospital of this college is known for excellence in holistic health care, quality education and research. AIMC infrastructure provides comprehensive services covering 25 modern surgical facilities. According to a study of 600 untreated patients out of hospital. The hospital has an ambulance service and a 24-hour blood bank. Amala Casualty Hospital is well equipped. In addition, these theaters have experienced doctors. Amala hospital total of 300 equipped beds. Inpatient care ward with 24 beds, Pediatric ward with 60 beds, and Coronary care with 12 beds. General ward occupied 120 beds. Hospital Information System is fully computerized and networked. There is 8 beds are in Pre Anaesthetic/Pre-Operative cases and 8 beds are in the Post-operative recovery rooms.

Thrissur, Kerala, is home to the Amala Institute of Medical Sciences. The city of Thrissur is well connected to all modes of transportation as well as other parts of Kerala and India. The Medical College is located in Amalanagar, 7.7 kilometres from Thrissur, on the NH69 Thrissur-Kunnamkulam route, with local transportation accessible 24 hours a day.
